If you work in economic development marketing, you have probably used the words “great”, “outstanding”, or “world-class” to describe your workforce, industry strengths, or quality of life. While brags have their place (we know, we’re from Texas), nothing validates your claims more than hard data.

Headlight Data, Avalanche’s sister company, recently completed a project for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to strengthen their marketing messages with real data. Their updated website now contains facts about labor availability for each of their target industries. Data covers 186 individual counties and is aggregated by sub-region. Web visitors can easily view and download profiles showing each industry’s employment, wage discount, and average salaries by occupation.
