The Research Valley Partnership Announces ImpactLife

June 16, 2014

Research Valley, TX (June 16, 2014) The Research Valley Partnership announced their ImpactLife ethos today and the launch of a communications platform featuring a collection of stories capturing the essence of ImpactLife in real terms.

ImpactLife is the Research Valley’s way of conducting business, prioritizing economic development initiatives that bring both economic and social impact to the region and the world, impacting life for the greater good. ImpactLife illustrates the values embraced in the Research Valley.

Todd McDaniel, President and CEO of the Research Valley Partnership explained, “The Research Valley is a very special place full of caring, compassionate citizens, businesses, and institutions that impact life every day both locally and globally. When thinking about Research Valley’s ethos, we felt that ImpactLife should be our economic development guiding light, our North Star. It is who we are and how we have been conducting economic development for some time.”

Through extensive feedback from community and university leaders and communicators, ImpactLife was born. Economic development strategists at Avalanche Consulting helped develop ImpactLife’s identity, capturing the unique characteristics of the Research Valley – courageous, compassionate, connected, dynamic, faithful, inclusive, innovative, and integrity. The Bright Agency, based in College Station, used this as inspiration in developing the ImpactLife word mark and website.

The first collection of stories feature Kalon Biotherapeutics, Texas A&M University Engineering’s 25 by 25 initiative, The Big Event, ATLAS – Texas’ first master planned bio-community, FrogSlayer, the Texas Aggies Go To War exhibit, and Lemonade Day. New stories will be shared on a regular basis and can be found at www.researchvalley.org/impactlife.

The Partnership encourages community members to get involved and share their own ImpactLife stories at www.researchvalley.org/impactlife/submit-your-story.
