Marian Kansas is a Consultant at Avalanche. Marian supports Avalanche’s clients with research and contributes to our social media and marketing plans. Marian is passionate about using marketing as an economic development tool to educate and empower audiences to achieve their community’s economic goals.

During her time at Avalanche, Marian has assisted various projects by providing research support and marketing expertise. She has worked on projects for the JAXUSA Partnership, City of Norcross, GA, and the Spartanburg Economic Futures Group.

Marian is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Advertising and Theatre & Dance. Through her coursework she has learned how to conduct rigorous research, think strategically about complex problems, and tell engaging stories. Prior to joining Avalanche, Marian served as a Strategic Planning Intern at LatinWorks, a multicultural advertising agency. During her time at LatinWorks she helped create strategic plans for Jack Daniel’s, conducted consumer research for Lowe’s and Bass Pro Shops, and conducted competitive analyses for Domino’s.

In her free time, Marian is active in the Austin theatre community as a director, and is the co-founder and director of the Heartland Theatre Collective.
